WOMEN SHEEPSKIN COATS
VINTAGE SHEEPSKIN COATS. Women Sheepskin Coats from vintage decades - 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. Genuine sheepskins, leather sheepskin, suede shearling, sherpa coats. Brown, grey, black, green, beige coats.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FAUX AND REAL SHEEPSKIN?
To be sure that your vintage women's sheepskin is real, check the tag or give a long and thorough inspection to see whether the fabric is natural or not. If you see that there is an artificial fabric at the base of the fibers, then the coat is not genuine.
IS THE COLLAR REAL OR FAUX SHEEPSKIN?
For vintage women fur coats the same recognition techniques apply as for sheepskin coats. Collars made of mouton fur may appear artificial because of their soft and voluminous appearance, but it is the specific processing of sheep hide that makes it look so fluffy.
DO SHEEPSKIN COATS HAVE A SMELL?
Vintage women sheepskin coats as all vintage garments tend to have a specific vintage odor but that is nothing to be afraid of. However, if we sense that sheepskin has a particularly strong odor we hang it outside to air-dry and process with vinegar mixture if necessary. Don’t worry, vinegar evaporates without leaving any aroma.
